Did you know that there are ancient Egyptian dwellings in Madrid Spain??

The Temple of Debod was built in 200BC, not far from Aswan. It was dedicated to the God Amun.

As the Aswan dam was built in the late 1960’s where the Temple was located, this was a gift from Egypt to Spain to give thanks for their help in moving artifacts.

In 1972 the ancient Temple was relocated in the Parque del Oeste, Madrid.

The perfect place to watch a beautiful sunset over Madrid.
