She had been so happy to finally get her braces off… at first. Then she saw her smile she had… she had huge buckteeth, as if they had grown somehow. The orthodontist  assured her she was imagining things, and she just needed to get used to not having them any more. She spent the car ride home feeling her teeth with her tongue, they felt massive and she knew that something just wasn’t right.

The rest of the evening passed uneventfully, and it wasn’t until she went to brush her teeth before bed that she noticed. Did her nose look bigger? She poked it and flared her nostrils, it was wider and her nostrils were indeed larger. Now she was concerned her face was swelling, like an allergic reaction. Her body felt hot and stiff enough that’s for sure. She really needed to call… to call a… doctor… but the long day had been exhausting and she… She yawned deeply and sat down on the bed, just for a moment, and within a moment had fallen asleep in her clothes.

She woke up early the following morning. She felt like she had a hangover, everything was fuzzy and the light was too bright. She walked to the bathroom and stopped dead as she caught her reflection. A bucktoothed, muzzle nosed girl with a big pair of donkey ears looked back at her. At that point she became aware of the fact that her feet were now hooves, and a donkey tail had ripped through her jeans.
