Some Thoughts™️ on the translation of that moment in the Guanyin temple scene (spoilers ahead!)

Ok so Jin Guangyao literally has Wei Wuxian by the neck, and Wei Wuxian shouts:

“蓝湛！蓝忘机！含光君！我，我刚才，是真心想跟你上床的！”

A popular fan translation of the latter half of the sentence reads:

“Back then, I really wanted to sleep with you!”

Right, so what am I getting at?
