How I Met Your Mother - Watanabe Haruto (Part 1)

Well, first off, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO ONE (1) WATANABE HARUTO! I was planning to make my How I Met Your Mother series from the oldest to the youngest. But because it’s my #2 Bias aka #1 Bias Wrecker’s birthday, I wrote this one first. I already had this idea in mind a few weeks back and hopefully someone will like it esp. To @treasuredays​.

He’s handsome, he’s tall, he has a deep voice, and he’s a rapper. That’s what gives girls a run for their money when it comes to Watanabe Haruto. When he was discovered on YGTB, many knew that this “diamond in the rough” that time will be polished and shine brighter. And yes, he did. One simple reason will be when he was the first member to be announced for Treasure. And now after years of experience, his charisma overflows and women of all ages are falling in love with him.

But how about Haruto?

Well, he did fall in love…

But it was not an easy road to tackle.

Haruto met Y/N through Asahi. Well actually, Y/N is Asahi’s cousin. Treasure had a short hiatus after a half-a-year world tour and everyone had a chance to do what they want. Haruto decided he goes home to Fukuoka for a vacation and tagging along was his bestfriend, Park Jeongwoo (well actually, Haruto forced Jeongwoo to come with him because the boy is gloomy after a breakup with his girlfriend).

Haruto showed Jeongwoo his city and they hanged out at every place Haruto loves as a kid growing up.

Then came a call from Asahi.

“Ruto-kun! I’ll be celebrating my birthday here at home in Osaka. You and Jeongwoo should come.” Asahi said on the phone.

And well, they did.

They reached Asahi’s house and it was actually a mini-reunion for all the boys. Mashiho and Yoshi came down from Tokyo and Kobe and the other Korean boys flew there. Who would dare to miss their 97% introvert buddy’s birthday?

They were talking to each other when Haruto had a glimpse of the most beautiful girl he had ever seen in his life. The girl was bringing something like a gift and gave it directly to Asahi. Asahi just smiled and hugged her. During that time, his stare did not even broke.

“Y/N , I know you already saw them in our concert but please, I’ll introduce you to them…again.”

Asahi introduced each one to her and when it was Haruto’s turn, he tried to be calm and collected…eventhough he is shaking.

“Hi. I’m Haruto.” Taking her hand and shook it.

“Of course you are Haruto. Nice to meet you.”

During the whole celebration, Haruto eyes never seemed to leave sight of Y/N. The members noticed it, especially Asahi.

Haruto went to the kitchen to get some drinks when Asahi cornered him.

“It seems like you are taking interest for my cousin.” Asahi said.

Haruto widened his eyes, “Am I that obvious, senpai?” and Asahi only nodded and grabbed the younger Japanese by the shoulder and whispered to him.

“It’s okay for me if you like her. But if you want to pursue her, right now I am telling you, you will have a hard time.”

And Asahi just left and went back to his own party, leaving a frozen Haruto in the kitchen.

The party is laying low and Y/N is sitting alone on a chair outside Hamada residence. Haruto saw her and took the courage and the advantage to talk to her.

“Uhm. Hi Y/N.”

“Hi Haruto.”

“Can I sit down by your side?”

“Sure.”

They talked about some things; first where she grew up to what school and what is she doing at the moment. Until such time, it went to her likes and dislikes.

“Uhm. If you don’t mind, Haruto. It seems like you are interested in me.” She said in a nice, lovely way.

“Actually, yeah. The moment I saw you today, kind of struck my feelings. You’re that person that brighten up the room.”

“Well, thank you, Haruto. But…”

Then her nice aura suddenly changed into something serious and “dark?”

She sat closer to Haruto…and grabbed his collar.

“IF you are planning to date me, or worse, going into my pants. then I’m sorry, NO. If you think your good looks and nice voice will enchant me and drop my knees for you, well, think again. It takes more than that.” And she releases the boy in her grasp and changed again into her nice lovely self.

“Well, if you excuse me I have to go back in. I want to eat again.”

And Watanabe Haruto was dumbfounded again for the second time in the day.
