Brad: I couldn’t believe it was that time of year again. The cold weather and Christmas was right around the corner. I was sitting down at the kitchen table trying to plan everything. I loved having a list and everything planned, it just made everything so much easier.  We just a few weeks away from Christmas and I just had so much to do. Brad was good at knowing when I was stressed and when I needed a break. “Babe,” he said as he came downstairs. “What babe?” I finally turned away from my computer. “Let’s go out to get something to eat” he said. “Sure” I agreed. I got up from my chair and stretched as it had been a while since I stood up. I made my way upstairs and got ready for dinner. We just went to one of our favorite spots that we normally go too. “I have a surprise for you,” he said. “What you mean? I thought we were just getting dinner” I looked at him. “Well I guess you don’t know me that well” he smirked. “Brad,” I said. “Just trust me,” he said. He paid for dinner and came back to the table grabbing my hand. I followed him out of the restaurant but we didn’t go straight to the car. We walked down to where the town just opened up this skating ring. It was for the season but I didn’t know how to skate. “Brad, I can’t skate,” I said. “Just trust me” he kissed me softly. “I don’t want to fall” I took a deep breath in. “I got you” he smiled as he walked to get the skates. We both sat down on the bench and put our skates on. He stood up grabbing my hands pulling me up to him. We walked to the ring, he went onto the ice first. I stepped on the ice and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I held onto him though I wouldn’t allow him to let go of me. “You got it, babe,” he said as he held my hands. “Brad don’t you dare let me go,” I said. “You are doing amazing,” he said. He gently let my hand go and I was skating alone. He still had his arms out just to be sure I didn’t fall. “I can’t believe I’m doing it,” I said as I looked up. “You are baby” he smiled. “Whoa, you let me go,” I said. “And you aren’t falling, I got you if you do,” he said. “Ok” I took a deep breath and started to focus on what I was doing. He intertwined our fingers together as we skated around. We soon took a break so we could rest, I rested my head against his shoulder. “Enjoying yourself?” he asked. “Of course,” I said as I played with his fingers. The night sky started to set in and the lights lit up the ring, it was beautiful. We made a few more rounds the ice before deciding to go home. I made up hot cocoa and we snuggled up by the fire. It was the perfect ending to the day.

Tristan: Living the fast pace of life was sometimes insane. I never could believe how fast time was going. It was just the new year and yet here we are again looking Christmas in its face. I always did my shopping as quickly as I could but Tristan loved waiting until the last minute. I couldn’t even try to explain his mindset but as long as it got done. I sat down in the den with the fireplace going. I started to wrap the presents that I had gotten, just to get it out of the way. “Babe?” he leaned against the door frame. “Yes,” I leaned back so my back was against the wall. “What are you doing?” he questioned. “Wrapping the presents that I have” I said. “We normally wait until Christmas eve,” he said. “No that’s you and then I have to help because you waited to the last minute” I looked up at him. “True” he smiled slightly. “But I love every second” I got up from the floor. “I know you do” he smirked as he pulled me to him. “What are you doing?” I asked. “I was wondering if you wanted to go do something tonight,” he said. “We should go ice skating,” I said. “Uh you know I can’t skate,” he said. “Well first time for everything” I said. “Babe” he pouted slightly. “No we are going, Ill teach you,” I said. “I’ll fall on my ass” he looked at me. “Please” I played with his shirt. “Only for you” he leaned down and peeked my lips. “Thank you” I leaned up and kissed him softly. “So do I need a pillow?” he chuckled slightly. “No, well maybe” I smiled. “which one are we going to?” he questioned. “Let’s go to the one downtown, the one with all the Christmas stuff up,” I said. “And then we could go to that restaurant you love so much,” he said. “Sounds like a plan,” I said. We both went upstairs so we could get ready, I watched him in the mirror. I knew he was only doing this because of me which made me love him that much more. He came up behind me and wrapped his arms around me. Resting his head against my shoulder, his hands resting against my stomach. “Ready?” he whispered. “Yeah I am, just gotta grab my coat,” I said. “Alright babe” he kissed my cheek softly. I pulled myself free from his arms. I grabbed my jacket and phone before heading downstairs. I slipped on my shoes as he made his way downstairs. We got into the car and we were on our way downtown, it was a little drive since we didn’t live in the city. We got to the skating ring and I went to get our skates, I could tell that he was nervous. I made my way back to where he was sitting. I sat down next to him and placed his skates next to him. I leaned in and kissed him softly, placing my hand against his cheek. We both put our skates on and walked to the ring. I got onto the ice before and reached my hands for him. He stepped onto the ice and took my hands, trying to keep his balance. He held onto the wall and my hand until he slowly started to get the hang of it. “There you go,” I said. “I can’t believe I’m actually doing this” he smiled. He let go of the wall and we skated around the ring. He started to show off, I just knew this would land him in trouble. He tried to skate backward and ended up falling on his ass, somehow I got tangled up in him and fell onto the ice. “Are you ok?” he asked. “Yeah I’m fine” I smiled slightly before I started to laugh. He looked at me for a few seconds before he started to laugh. We pulled ourselves off the ice and went to sit down. We returned the skates and made our way to the restaurant. Even though he might have not wanted to go he seemed to have a blast.

James: We were friends before we turned it into something different. I couldn’t explain how I felt about James but I guess when you know you know. Falling for your best friend is a blessing but also it could go wrong. I didn’t know how he felt but he hid his feelings very well. We moved in together soon after we made things official but it didn’t surprise anyone. I was still unpacking things for the apartment. I rolled my eyes when he walked into the apartment, I had no clue where he had been. “Hey,” he said as he came up behind me. “What?” I asked. “What’s wrong?” he tried to wrap his arms around me but I moved. “Where have you been?” I asked. “Studio, you knew that” he leaned against the wall. “No, I didn’t, I thought you were going to help me” I crossed my arms. “I did this morning” he looked at me. “What one box?” I said. “I know this is a lot to deal with but you know my schedule,” he said. “Whatever” I rolled my eyes. “What is your problem?” he crossed his arms. “I’ve been unpacking YOUR shit all damn day,” I said. “Then don’t unpack my shit then, I can do it myself! I didn’t ask you to do it anyway” he said. “You might not have asked but I don’t want boxes EVERYWHERE!” I said. “Fine,” he said. “FINE” I yelled out as I walked away. I went upstairs and started to unpack my clothes. It was our first fight as a couple and I started to hate how we spoke to each other. I leaned against the wall as I calmed down, after thinking about it it wasn’t that big of a deal. I slide down the wall sitting on the floor, I knew we both needed to calm down. Later on, I made my way downstairs. I saw him in the kitchen unpacking the dishes, I leaned against the kitchen wall. He finally looked up at me. “Hey” he whispered. “Hey” I looked at him. “I’m sorry,” he said. “I’m sorry” I moved closer to him. “I shouldn’t have lost it like that” he grabbed my hand pulling me close to him. “I shouldn’t be so hard” I wrapped my arms around his neck. “I’m sorry” he brushed the hair from my face. “I love you James and I don’t like fighting” I looked up at him. I don’t either baby” he leaned down slightly and kissed me softly. It was a learning process for us both since its the first time we have lived with someone else. We started to communicate with each other more to avoid the fights.

Brad: Classes were going well but life was just getting busy. I’ve never been the type of person to deal well with stress. I had a one track mind and that was for my studies. I wanted to finish these classes and graduate so I could start my career. Brad understood that and supported me as much as he could. “You coming to my set tonight?” he asked. “I have to study Brad,” I said into the phone. “Can’t you just take a break?” he asked. “I wish but this test is really important,” I said. “It’s always important” he sighed. “Don’t do that Brad” I snapped back. “What?” he asked. “Give me that attitude, you know how important this is,” I said. “Its always more important,” he said. “That’s not true!” I said. “It is, you never have time for me or anything,” he said. “Brad!” I said. “Don’t Brad me! It’s true! Maybe we shouldn’t be together” he said. “FINE!” I yelled into the phone before hanging up. I threw my phone onto the bed, ran my hand through my hair. I couldn’t believe that he would even say that. I never thought he would end our relationship in a time like this. I laid back on the bed closing my eyes just trying to calm down. I stayed home that night but didn’t get much studying done, Brad was the only thing on my mind. I started to doze off when I heard someone knock on the door. I made my way downstairs and opened the door. Brad was standing there in the rain, holding a rose. “I’m sorry” he got down on one knee. “Brad come in, you will get sick,” I said. He got up making his way into the house. I grabbed a towel for him to dry off since he was soaking wet. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said what I said” he wiped his face with the towel. “I’m sorry” I spoke softly. “I should understand, I always said I would,” he said. “I should of went tonight, I know your music means so much to you,” I said. “I didn’t mean what I said, I love you,” he said. “I love you” I moved closer to him, placing my hand against his cheek. “Not as much as I love you” he leaned down slightly kissing me softly. After that night I learned how to balance my school life and personal life. I started to understand that school work wasn’t always the priority, it was ok to go have fun.

Tristan: I laid back in the bed as my alarm was going off. I finally reached for my phone turning the alarm off. I got out of bed and that’s when I realized that Tristan didn’t come home. I made my way downstairs, making myself something to eat. After I ate I decided to sit on the couch and wait for Tristan. I heard him stumble onto the porch unlocking the door. “Where have you been?” I asked as he made his way into the apartment. “What?” he asked. “You heard me” I crossed my arms. “I was out with the boys” He sat on the couch. “Did you cheat on me?” I questioned. “What? Are you serious?” he looked at me. “I’m not joking Tristan,” I said. “I don’t remember” he chuckled slightly. “ARE YOU SERIOUS?” I yelled. “Calm down,” he said. “NO! What did you do?” I asked. “Nothing, but you seriously need to learn to trust me,” he said. “Why should I? When you stay out all night” I said. “I told you last night that it was a guys night, chill,” he said. “I can’t believe you” I ran upstairs, slamming the bedroom door. “DONT SLAM DOORS!” he yelled out. “SCREW YOU!” I yelled. He left the apartment slamming the door behind him. We have never talked to each other that way before. I called him later on that night but he didn’t answer. I went over to Brads place, knowing Tristan would be there. I walked in as he was laying on the couch, I leaned the doorway. “Can we talk?” I asked. “Here to accuse me of things?” He asked as he sat up. “No, I’m sorry,” I said. “I would never ever do that to you” he looked at me. “I trust you” I nodded slightly. “Good, it was just a night out. I promise” he said. “I’m sorry” I looked at him. “I love you” he reached for me. I made my way over to the couch, sitting on his lap. He wrapped his arms around me, I leaned down kissing him softly. “I love you” he whispered against my lips. “I love you” I looked at him, resting my forehead against his. After that day he always made sure that I knew where he was. It’s not that I didn’t trust him I just didn’t trust the other females around him.

Connor: It was easy being in love with your best friend. Connor and I just got each other, we would always finish each other sentences. We were meant to be, he completed me and I completed him. I lay against his chest as we watched the sunset on the beach. “I love doing this” he said. “I do too” I sat up. “What’s wrong?” he asked. “Nothing” I looked back at him. “Good” he smiled. “It so peaceful here” I said. “Yea it is, we should get going” he said. “Why?” I asked. “Because the party starts soon” he said. “Do we have to go?” I questioned. “Yes” he said. “Why? Can’t we just stay here?” I asked. “We said we would go so we are going” he said. “I don’t want to go!” I crossed my arms. “Don’t do this!” He said as he got up. “I’m not going,” I said. “Fine stay here then but i’m going” he said. “CONNOR!” I yelled as I got up. “We said we would go and I’m keeping my word,” he said. “So you are going to leave me here?” I asked. “Yes I will” He said. “I can’t believe you,” I said. “I keep my word so I’m going,” he said as he started to walk away. “FINE!” I said as I sat back down. He left the beach and went to the party. I stayed on the beach as the sun finally set, the stars were out. The breeze had started to pick up, I couldn’t believe Connor would actually leave me here. I got up from the beach and started to walk to the parking lot. I sighed as I realized that my phone was in his car. I started to walk back towards the apartment when a car pulled up. “Get in,” Connor said as he stopped next to me. “Why?”  I asked. “Come on babe, its cold out here” he said. “Fine” I rolled my eyes as I got into the car. “I’m sorry,” he said as he took my hand. “I can’t believe you would actually do that,” I said. “I shouldn’t have left you and I’m sorry,” he said. “We should of talked about the party instead of getting so mad” I said. “I’m sorry” he leaned over kissing my cheek. “I’m sorry” I looked at him. “Next time we should talk it over” he nodded. “Yea” I nodded. It was our first fight, normally we would just talk it out. I don’t know why this time was so different but we both hated how we talked to each other. We made a promise never to raise our voices at each other again.
