#true innocence

So very much is made of innocence in D/s, but that’s the biggest perversion of them all. We’re not innocents; the only reason we’re here is because we have the kind of insatiable curiosity that strips innocence away. The enemy of naivety. We consume knowledge, and are never satisfied with things just as they are. That’s why we found what we found. That’s why we are what we are. 

But that’s sexual innocence, the kind that doesn’t matter. Proper innocence, the kind that’s written about and mourned in war torn countries, the kind that protects us and keeps us properly alive. That’s still there. In fact, that’s amplified, it’s being given a place to call home, where it can set up shop and thrive. Never, in my short existence, have I come across a set of people who are more honest and true than within D/s. We’re innocent because we’ve been afforded the opportunity to allow ourselves to be.

We’ve stripped the guilt from sex, because there is no guilt in it.
