Black Clover x Pokemon - Patry, The Ghost Type Expert
More Black Clover characters as Pokemon trainers! This time, featuring Patry! Having light magic, Patry probably would have been a fairy type expert if he lived a normal life. However, after dying a painful death and becoming a vengeful spirit who fights for a tribe whose suffering was erased from history, I think he would be able to connect to ghost type Pokemon very well.
I wanted to choose ghost Pokemon who would have a variety of reasons for following Patry. For that, I looked at the Pokedex entries of all the ghost type Pokemon and decided on Banette, Yamask, and Phantump. Here’s some examples of the Pokedex entries the games have for them:
Banette: A stuffed toy that was thrown away and became possessed, ever searching for the one who threw it away so it can exact its revenge.
Yamask: Each of them carries a mask that used to be its face when it was human. Sometimes they look at it and cry.
Phantump: According to old tales, these Pokémon are stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died while lost in the forest.
Most of the others from the Eye of the Midnight Sun seem like they would use ghost types too, so I think Team Midnight Sun would be a team of mostly ghost type users.
