Why hadn’t their father come yet? They were being tied to 4 horses, too weak to even fight. Their father usually came by now? He always knew, always knew when Alex needed him. Was he not coming this time? Did he know what Alex had done and decided Alex didn’t deserve it? They took deep shaky breaths as they felt the ropes pull tight and they were lifted off the ground. They closed their eyes. This was it. A stray tear slipped out their eye.
oHOHOHOHOHO, NICE-
OKAY, OKAY, OKAY.
DUDE. I DON’T KNOW WHAT THEY CALL IT, DISMEMBERING BY HORSE?? BUT OH GOODNESS GRACIOUS, THOSE PIRATES GOT THERE JUST IN TIME.
A loud bang sounded then another, then another they opened their eyes and saw 3 of the four men riding the horses had been shot. The 4th man, clearly knowing he was next, kicked his horse into action. The other 3 horses stayed still and Alex felt their left leg being pulled; they screamed in agony, hearing a sickening pop, then a tear. Then;
*bang*
THEDRAMAOF THIS SCENE, HECK lol. And y’all know I love a good leg wound so this was just ABSOLUTELY *chef kiss.* Like, it’s just so descriptive, my word, I love it. The pop, the tear, I– STARING RIGHT NOW-
Noooo :,( But then poor Alex afterwards getting the cane and I don’t know what it is but that casual mention of how their father used to beat them with it- ACTUAL whumperflies. SO SMALL BUT SO IMPACTFUL, PLEASE UNDERSTAND- lol

Once they got to civilization, Izz helped Vig pick out some clothes that would fit him and make him fit in, she got a couple for herself as well.
Dude, you cannot even comprehend my love of aliens that don’t understand human currency/culture and oh my word, YESSSSSSS. Lol, that was definitely my favorite! <3
And then the shock (*ba dum ch!*) of the electrocution was great! I genuinely thought she was home free lol, I was like, “Dang, this alien is bad at his job-“ NOPE. HE WAS PREPARED!
