There’s a shift happening in the newer generation, and I’m not so sure I like it. I noticed that song production has gotten so much better nowadays, but I feel like newer groups are too reliant on those good instrumentals to make a song. I think it’s one of the reasons the vocals of the new gen have been generally subpar so far… Older groups debuted with already amazing main vocals (Seungyoon, Luna, Sandeul, Solji) compared to newer groups.

I’m tired of seeing “XYZ idol has opened a YouTube channel” every day. Its the stupid “mindlessly following what is trendy and have no individuality” that Koreans do, for me

I don’t mind idols dating or even getting married. It would just be better knowing they are with someone who is a non-celeb/idol that they personally knew for a while. I feel like it would be a genuine relationship and a private one given that the public wouldn’t know them to dig up anything. I say this because I recall an idol (forgot who) that said all they have left available to date are other idols in the industry, which sounded kind of sad. Also it would put an end to those extremist idol shippers.

I wish more idols that make their own music would upload to SoundCloud and release mixtapes in the way that BTS does. It’s such a good way to reach audiences when they have the time in between album cycles.

After school Bekah is one of kpop best rapper. She easily wash bts rapline and stray kids one (I don’t believe either groups KNOW how to rap but their fans seems to believe so) and the list would go on.

it really annoys me whenever i see the constant wars fan have over who’s fav is more unproblematic, ect. it really makes me question why do they even follow certain groups in the first place if they are willing to drop them in a heartbeat once they will make a single mistake, like they are about to be arrested for daring to be a fan of them, it more seems like you are using these groups as an aesthetic or a badge to wear to make yourself look better for “stanning the unproblematic ones” than anything. i am not saying you shouldn’t call out idols for their mistakes or hold them accountable for serious ones either. my point is that you really have to drop the whole “stanning unproblematic groups” mentality it is just extremely unhealthy standard for anyone to meet and idols already suffer enough of unrealistic standards that they are expected to reach. stanning an idol or a group only because their career is scandal free and not because you love their music or respect hard work, is just so fake and dishonest, no artist deserves this “performative support” . nothing is wrong to admit your idols did some things wrong, because after all they will grow from their mistakes and so should you.

Of all the dance covers other idols did of Criminal, the best one I have seen was probably the one by E'LAST’s Choi In. He really looked like a natural dancer.

Neverlands need to face the fact that Gidle is basically over. The girls have opened up individual instagrams and Yuqi is going solo. Plus Cube is debuting a new girl group too. It just doesn’t look good for the girls.

Anyone who says “We literally breathed and ——- fandom is attacking us” is a liar. No fandom has done nothing. Yes, other fandoms attack each other for no reason, just because their toxic. But to say your fandom has done NOTHING is a lie. Your fandom is no better than anyone else’s. I don’t get involved in fandom drama because it’s dumb but I used to when I was younger and knowing from experience?Every fandom instigates. I did. No fandom is innocent and just sits there all doe eyed and god loving. YOU may not instigate, but other members of your fandom do. Don’t act like the whole is innocent.

Oneus should stop trying to be like any other 4th gen group with dark and loud music. Most of the members don’t suit their no diggity concept, it looks so forced. They really shine in light and fresh concepts like in “a song written easily”, which to date is still their best title track.

When it comes to CA and other offensive behaviors toward black people, I don’t get why idols add #blm. What does you doing cultural appropriation or saying something insensitive have to do with blm? I feel like so many just add it as a way to seem like they care, but it doesn’t make them look any better and just makes their apologies seem less sincere.

I’m so happy that Chungha changed her style of music. I was never into her debut stuff. It was only when snapping came out that I actually started looking into her stuff and liking her music. But Bicycle? No ma’am. The song isn’t bad, it’s leagues away from that. It’s just… not good either. I hate the high pitched “yeah” when she sings “Get out my way yeah”. I haven’t been able to listen to the whole song because I just… don’t like the song and honestly, if you asked me to explain in depth why I don’t I couldn’t tell you. There’s nice parts of the song but there’s also too many parts that I don’t like for me to put it on any of my playlists. I love Chungha, but this song was a pass for me.

I’m a huge Davichi fan, but in the last few years they’ve just not been delivering. Their songs are so boring and basic now, what happened to their amazing power ballads and other songs?

Blackpink need more rock influence in their songs. Those girls are way better in concert. Even the energy shifts compared to when they perform for smaller audiences.
