Sunset threads through your fingers. Softer than the fine silk beneath your knees. Surrounded by the scent of roses and wine you let go of all control in your body. A sharp pinch and the haze begins again in the same way rain falls to the ground in spring. There’s beauty in its consistency yet it seems new and astonishing each time. The world fades in the corners as your heart begins to slow.

Chuuya’s fingers dance along your exposed spine. The dress he picked for you tonight cascades lace two feet beyond your ankles. An elegant black mimic of flames dance up your chest leaving your entire back open to his cold hands. Chuuya only took his gloves off when he touched you like this. Almost like lovers.

His fangs reach deeper until your pulse fills his ears. Each time he fed from you a bit of your life dwindled away. Closer time creeps to the eventual decaying of your heart. Chuuya, though, gave you everything. From luxury to gentle affection to endless nights that left you breathless. Chuuya hums in delight hand squeezing your waist, a subtle reminder of who you belonged to. Not to move an inch. Nothing interrupted this precious time with you, not even an itch on your nose.

“Darling, you’re so sweet nothing could compare.’ Chuuya mumbles in your ear, lips coated in sweet carmine. Dizzily, you slump against his toned chest resting your cheek in the crook of his neck. Chuuya felt like stone and spoke like velvet. There was nothing in the world that could replace him.

“Chuuya.” You say weakly, the faint buzzing in your head making it hard to focus. He licks his lips clean and tilts his head down. Watching the way you sway from bloodloss; each time it lasted longer. Hurt more. Took a few more days for you to recover.

“What is it?” He asks, nearly sounding drunk from your sweet taste.

“You won’t let me die will you?”

Chuuya stills for a moment fingers drawing circles over your lower back. Pressing down until you’re slotted against him fully. “Sweetheart, we’ve talked about this.” He finally responds, eyes falling matte. “You’ll go in your sleep and I’ll bring you back again. Always.” He promises, watching you drift off against his chest.

He remains still eyes slanting to the left where the small door in the wall rattles. She was rather hard to contain but soon she’d serve her purpose. A beating heart for you, and another body to satiate the wolves around the castle. “Always.”
