Got off work and went for a beer at Resolute Brewing with my sweetie. I had Uncle Jerry’s Pub Ale - English style Dark Mild (right) and she had No Sugar Tonight - Cream Ale w/ Coffee and Vanilla (left) both were tasty and went well with the food truck. Lukas:
I watch as my mother puts the VHS in the player and Arianna sits on the couch waiting for images to pop up on the screen.
“Do you really have to do this, Ma?” I ask her
She grins evilly and says
“Yes!”
I sigh and sit beside Arianna. She looks at me with excitement in her eyes ready to see me as a child. The images finally show up and mom and Ari immediately go
“Aaawwwwwwwww!!”
Me and dad laugh as we watch the loves of our lives get so entranced by the childish me on the TV.

As the video cuts off my mom wipes her tears that came as she remembered my childhood. Arianna looks at me and says in a sweet baby voice
“Your were such a cute little boy!”
She puckered her lips and pinched my cheeks. I laugh and gently take her hands off my face. She looks at her Apple Watch and says
“Oh my word, it’s almost 10:00! I didn’t even realize. I’m sorry I have to leave. I have early morning tomorrow.”
My mom turns to her and said
“Okay, honey. Thank you for coming tonight!”
Mom gave Ari a hug and Ari said to her
“Thank you for having me. And the food was amazing!”
“Thank you! That’s what King Soopers pre-made family dinners get you.”
Mom says with a laugh and we all laugh along with her. Arianna turns to my dad and says
“I had a great time tonight, Mr. Scott.”
Dad smiles at her and gives her a hug and says
“It was a pleasure to have you with us, Arianna.”
Arianna smiles and walk out the door with me right behind her.
