Vidder’s Notes: I was obsessed with this song as soon as it came out, so I wanted to vid it toute suite. None of my current fandoms seemed like a good fit, but people on my friendslist had been talking about this movie called The Yin-Yang Master: Dream of Eternity and some of the ahem aesthetics looked like they might be a fit for the song. I had a day off on Friday, so I watched the movie, found it suitable, and whipped out this vid over the next two days. I had an absolute blast with this!

I see that people have these live zooms while they make their art and I feel like if I ever did this with making videos people would literally be so fucking annoyed with me for repeatedly playing the same 5 seconds over and over and just moving the clip over .00003 seconds each time
Ooooh I liked that particular 4 seconds of the edit. Let me replay it for a full hour on a loop. Edits one frame of it. Hmmm. Nope. Better before. Puts it back. Plays on a loop for another half hour. Okay let me edit this other bit right after it. Okay. I added one additional clip now let’s go back to that 4 seconds from before and watch that another 18 times.

Thinking about fan videos, clicks\views and likes give us nothing. Comments give us nothing (except for happiness when they’re fun!). No profit is being gained, just some mental excitement that - yay - what we spent hours working on is actually liked by others!
And also a chance to find likeminded fans of that spesific ship, character or a trope.
That being said, will I make a vid I don’t want to make just cos it’s gonna be more popular than the one I will enjoy making? Heh, nope. I’m doing it for the process. And to rewatch the hell out of it later.
Because, once again, likes and views don’t add anything to my life.
