As of Thursday, July 12th, the Hunk and Pidge Fan Zine application window is officially OPEN!!!
We are looking for artwork,fic, and merch ideas that feature Hunk and Pidge in platonic and/or romantic contexts.
We’re planning on having the zine be around 75-85 pages, so we’ve figured our distributions for fic and art should be approximately as follows:
- Artwork: 30 full-page works (maybe a few double-page spreads or sequential works?), totaling 30-35 pages
- Writing (<400 words): 10 works, totaling 10 pages
- Writing (400-2,000 words): 8 works, totaling up to 40 pages
In addition, we also have spots for:
- Merchandise: 3 to 5 pieces (charms, pins, lanyards, stickers/sticker sheets, etc)
We will, of course, shift around space to accommodate all of the selected pieces based on whose work is accepted: if we get 35 really good artists, then we’ll shift around space and/or make our zine a few more pages.

Mosey on over to our super spiffy application here on Google Forms! Applications are due by 11:59 PST on Friday, August 10th, and we’ll let you know whether you’ve been accepted by the beginning of September. If you are accepted, we’ll send you a link to the zine Discord chat where you can chat with other artists and writers and check in with the mods! For accepted artists and writers, your timeline for submissions is as follows:
Monday, October 1st: Artist and Writer Check-In #1
Thursday, November 1st: Artist and Writer Check-In #2
Saturday, December 1st: Submit final work
