Apologies for any mistakes!

Cha Junhwan’s First Practice at Gangneung Arena

Q: How is the ice quality?

Even though it was my first time trying it, the ice quality didn’t seem bad. Anyway even though it’s my first time trying it, because tomorrow and the day after tomorrow I’ll be practicing, since I’m practicing, at this weekend’s competition I will improve my performance.

Q: What are your thoughts on using the Olympic ice rink for the first time?

Since it’s my first time skating at the Olympic ice rink it feels really big and the decoration seems a bit elegant. -laughs-

Q: Are you having a lot of feelings about the Olympics?

I didn’t have that type of feeling much. While skating and from the videos now I’m thinking more about the Olympics.

Q: It seems like you have an advantage compared to other skaters

Anyway, at this Olympic arena if you have a lot of competitions and events, it think it becomes easy and comfortable on the ice.

Q: How is your body condition currently?

I don’t really know my body condition right now. Because of practicing I haven’t been able to be in a perfect state. It’s just like that. I am working now to prevent injuries by stretching.

Q: At big matches it seems like there are tremors or mistakes

Since it’s a big competition I don’t think I tend to make little mistakes, so once they happen other incongruities can too. Even though it’s on such a big stage with a lot of practice I think I can do it.

Q: What are you looking forward to?

In this competition I hope to exhibit without faltering. Once I have calmly finished the remaining competitions, it would be good to have a good start to being pro. Since it’s just my first time it would be nice if everything went well.
