When was the point in my life that eating food became a task that required a two-hour recovery nap?

If you fucked up your arm from the shoulder down just by reaching for the toilet paper and you know it, don’t clap your hands, because that one is numb.

MoreThe Sisters of DorleyAU/Glow, Worm crossover concept ideas:

Re: the way I interpreted Glow, Worm vampire reproduction dynamics: specifically, “in terms of human-style reproduction male vampires are sterile, female vampires are almost sterile in a way that makes it very easy for them to control their own fertility, like they’re fertile six days per year and they can tell whether they’re close to that point by tasting their own blood, but they can still get pregnant from a human male if they want to, which is how Elanor got her kids.”

The Directorate has started offering sperm freezing to some humans they’re interested in recruiting, so they can still have kids after transition. The graduate school girls find this amusing. Just like Dorley!

In general I feel like the graduate school girls would enjoy playing with the idea that there’s some kind of unity between the two types of transition.

One of them often leaves the graduate school on missions for Elle, and she’s often teamed up with one of Elle’s legit-with-the-Directorate vampire subordinates, and he’s her boyfriend now, and… OK, sample of one and she’s pretty sure he’s some kind of neurodivergent so there might be some nonstandard interaction going on there, but she really thinks there’s something to it. He’s a cis man, but he doesn’t have a cis man vibe. And… She told him about the force-fem thing and he related a lot to her experiences! He told her transition changed how he experienced emotions and sexuality in ways that… the changes were subtler than the ones she experienced from HRT and the orchi, but they sounded parallel in some ways! When she has sex with him, uh… he has very cis male sexual function in “what’s happening in his underwear area” terms, but in subtler ways it’s kind of like having sex with a woman. Interacting with him really weirdly feels a lot like interacting with another Dorley girl! From his descriptions of his experiences and how he empathizes with her experiences it’s like… he got feminized while keeping a cis male body? Not in a trans way but in a texture of emotional and somatic experience way? She thinks… he didn’t get castrated in the conventional sense, his testes can still make testosterone and stuff, but in a way he did, he can’t make sperm! And she thinks maybe something involved in that profoundly changed his whole… system… in some way.

He brought it up with his sire while he was transitioning, but she was a cis woman and not very old and he was her first childe… she didn’t see anything in the vampire manual about this, but… she guessed it was normal for transitioning boys? He seemed… OK and functional and stuff, so it didn’t seem like a problem? He has noticed it doesn’t seem to be an experience anyone ever talks about it, and he brought it up with a couple of other vampire men and none of them could relate, so maybe it was something that only happened to him, or was unusual?

Still, it seems like an interesting data point!

I’m not actually sure how much of this sort of gendered somatic experience difference actually exists (is anyone?), but from some of the descriptions I’ve seen of going on HRT from trans people it sounds like there is some.
