Do you ever think about how Deirdre was suddenly saddled with the responsibility of taking care of James, but she never complains??? She doesn’t restrict James from activities she sends Michelle on even though that’s extra money she’s spending (Paris trip, Take That concert, Friends Across the Barricade) that she wouldn’t have to pay for had Kathy A) been there to provide for James or B) they stayed in England. It’s been established that the Girls don’t come from wealthy families, so the Mallons had a whole extra teenager to feed, clothe, and keep out of trouble. Deirdre’s only complaint when it comes to James is that he’s English.
Anyways, I think Deirdre and Kathy should’ve had a scene together. Jim and Uncle Colm didn’t deserve that screen time.
