This picture looks peaceful and boring but it was an terrible weather day with some winds of 60 MPH a few days ago. I ended up on this very rural road as a detour because the main highway was closed because a semi truck had been flipped over by the wind and it closed the road. This actually happened dozens of times that day. This was in between huge gusts that made the sky Brown and covered the road in tumbleweeds.

The longer I live away from this place the more fascinated I am with the big sky is in West Texas. Saw this yesterday on my transition onto the Llano Estacado.
