Slapdash Song-Inspired Drabble: “Two Showoffs Showdown” (or “El Tango De Roxanne but it’s Glitchtrap vs. Veronica”)

For context: This was an animatic idea for El Tango De Roxanne I had while back, but wasn’t sure if I had time to make it. So, instead, i decided to turn the idea into a quick drabble. Not my best work, but at least I got this off my chest.

Also, this is supposed to be separate from the main FNAF YT Miniseries/actual FNAF canon. A little ”what if” piece about one potential story beat, if you will. No clue if SB: Ruin will give me the opportunity to sneak some of this in, but we’ll see. FNAF theories and no context inbound.

Veronica cautiously approached the pulsating green rabbit on stage. Her breathing tried to keep a steady rhythm, but her pent up anger and fear made that difficult. And her opponent could clearly sense it. “So, you’ve come back for a little revenge?” he asked with a sneer.

Veronica stopped short. She let the expression on her face say it all.

“I see,” the rabbit replied with eyebrows raised. “Well, you know what your boss would say…” The last syllable echoed as he advanced towards the edge of the platform. He leaned forward as he uttered five words: “Revenge will drive you mad.”

As if curtains closed in around them, everything was now enveloped in darkness. A tremor of violins stalled all ideas of escaping out of Veronica’s head. Wherever she was now, one thing was clear: Glitchtrap was determined to win this little “game” of his. And she fumed at that fact… Until she heard a voice sing out a familiar name.

Ro-o-oxanne~

The room filled with light again. Instead of the underground ruins of that pizzeria, it appeared that they were in some courthouse. The unmanned benches and scattered papers all told a story that Veronica simply had no time to read through. She clutched her taser tightly in her hand, waiting for the green rabbit to quit performing and actually fight. Her eyes followed his ever-moving shadow, only to catch something hiding in a shadowy corner. “Dav— Afton?” she mouthed, her gaze now bouncing back and forth between the rabbit and this newcomer.

Meanwhile, Glitchtrap had been reciting the good old Tango of Roxanne word for word. Dancing this way and that, all to get her annoyance to reach its peak. And, when that didn’t work, he would have to try… alternative methods. He grinned darkly as he approached this wretched specter of a man. For good measure, the rabbit decided to throw in the tried-and-true “lifting the chin of the vulnerable to eye level” trick. His eyes locked with Veronica’s, gauging her reaction as he sang out “you don’t have to sell your body to the night”.

Veronica’s face burned scarlet. Her teeth gnashed. Her taser hand twitched in anticipation. Her eyes welled with tears, but she made no attempt to dry them. They ran down as Glitchtrap left the man and finally entered into her range of attack. Now was her chance.

As both entered their final preparations, a new voice filled the void Glitchtrap now left. A deep, trembling voice that matched the figure now emerging from the shadows. The floor creaked and groaned as this disheveled man timidly exposed himself to the pair a few feet ahead. He could only watch as Veronica intercepted Glitchtrap’s first true attack. Afton’s ears rang from her raging scream of “NO”, but he kept singing as best he could.

Sparks from the taser flew as Veronica swung. Glitchtrap dodged them all with that smug grin still on his face. In fact, said grin only grew wider as the fight kept going. He sped through the towering doors and into the night-covered streets of some long-ago town. Both ran in hot pursuit while Afton lingered behind. As his verse finally reached its end, he stopped following them. He shut his eyes and breathed deeply. They were going there, weren’t they?

Veronica stopped as Glitchtrap leapt over a picket fence into someone’s backyard. She looked at the house just out of reach, instinctively eyeing each window. All of them were out except for one. From what her straining eyes could see, two figures talked in the lamplight. One stood tall and proud like some military general of old. The other was just a boy with unkempt curls and a more slouched posture. They were far enough away for no one to hear, but their actions conveyed their conversation well enough. The elder of the two gripped the boy by the wrist, leaning down to match his eye level. The boy trembled, but kept his gaze steady. “Tell no one,” was all Veronica could make out before the elder closed the drapes.

“Tell no one”?

Tell… no one. Not even his own kids. Not even her, the one constant rival he had.

No wonder Afton never brought any of this up before. Well… until now.

Veronica finally sprang over the fence, hurrying to the back side of the house. The tango reprised itself as she charged at Glitchtrap. Her taser’s “whip” struck that anomaly across the face. The terrain instantly changed back to the restaurant they started in, prompting them to adapt quickly. She pursued Glitchtrap down into the deep abyss that was the tunnel to his “lair”. Her feet flew as Afton’s last refrain faintly echoed down to her ears. Although she now tied herself to her blind rage, some part of her hoped that those weren’t the last words she’d hear from Afton.

*ahem* How to sum up my secondary blog when Glitchtrap isn’t involved.

William to Glitchtrap:Shut up about me coming back. You are not my dad nor are you my children. I will be blaring Bad Apple through the Pizzaplex speakers if you keep forcing me to fight this new child.

Glitchtrap: …Okay, but you just basically talked smack to yourself.

Gushing away, don’t mind me—

Okay, gonna ramble about @rowan-of-the-ravenwood’s WillyNillyNonsense art again. I hope these remarks make some sense to y’all, because A A A I’m flying by the seat of my pants with the power of hype.

First things first. We open up with my in-character ask that basically is just “Hey Rowan how’s about you draw my William for fun? (And Glitchtrap… quit hijacking other blogs pls. K thx.)”

Rowan’s first drawing/response is this.

That h e a d t i l t. The unnerving p o s eande x p r e s s i o n. The overlapping line-art to show Glitchtrap’s control over Rowan’s OC— Dude, what an opening shot.

And we’ve only just started!

The “camera” cuts over to another character‘s reaction to this rabbit’s little… um… “answer”? And you’d think it’d be me/Humanized Pond Creature because I sent the ask, but no!

It’s William himself— But with new digs! :0 In case you wanted to know about how I reacted (and what WN!William looks like, my style-wise), welllp…

Like… B R U H. If I mastered the art of keyboard smashing, I’d be doing it a whole bunch rn. Will looks so GOOD in this style!! And the expression here is great too!! Really nails the vibe of ”Oh no, my ’Hyde’ has come to play”. (The suit actually helps lol)

Oh yea, speaking of Jekyll and Hyde-energy…

Here he is! Glitchtrap in the same artstyle!! I especially love both the poses lining up with the waving hand. Like that’s the only part of the OC Glitch is controlling before letting go. I can sense Rowan’s OC about to thunk to the floor from that posture alone. And, of course, the expressions are top notch on both.

Finally, free from moving Rowan’s OC about, Glitchtrap meets back up with William. What follows not only sums up their current relationship dynamic in the blog, but also gives off Confrontation from Jekyll and Hyde vibes.

Their outfits kind of match! And Glitchtrap has little ”glitches” indicated by smears! The detail is insane! :0 (Also William looks so done lol. I love it).

TLDR: Rowan not only nailed the characters, but also the creepy FNAF/Jekyll and Hyde vibes… Despite not doing FNAF beforehand apparently. I am smitten with this art piece, send help to me and lots of love to @rowan-of-the-ravenwood/@rowan-ravenwood-art.

Hey, guys. I just noticed something in the DLC teaser.

The word “Ruin” is in purple like ”Free DLC” down below it. If the word ”Ruin” keeps showing up in purple, then I think we’re just about to see William again… But in a whooooole new angle. This is a stretch, I’m sure, but I’m still posting it.

FNAF RAMBLINGS I

I came to the conclusion that Michael doesn’t hate his father and is more or less confused. Honestly now I have this thought that I can’t get out of my head; what if Michael didn’t want to die? What if the reason he possibly caused the FNAF 3 fire was to slow his father down? What if he became aware of William’s immortality during the 30 year gap between 1 and 3. So why did we assume that Michael wanted to die? We mostly took this off what Henry said about how Mike wanted to stay where he is but here’s the thing; his plan didn’t work therefore should we trust his intuition that Mike wanted to die? I started to think about Mike’s inner psychology; why did Mike want to clean up his father’s mess in the first place? Maybe he didn’t just want to redeem himself but his father as well. If you think about it? We all saw William in different perspectives; Henry, John, Charlie etc.

But all of these perspectives were on William after he did all of these terrible things, only things a monster would do to such innocence as children.

But what about before? Before he lost himself to becoming this being that is unidentifiable in the eyes of his loved ones. Surely there must’ve been a human inside there at some point. Did he lose someone? Was it someone close?. It’s clear that William wasn’t always a monster; usually in most scenarios; monsters are made, not born. My thought process is that his turning point was when Mike was a kid, this could possibly trigger my previous thought of why Mike possibly believed in redeeming afton. In my opinion; he’s the only person besides William’s wife to know William before his downward spiral. Henry isn’t much of a reliable source because he’s simply William’s friend and business partner, he isn’t gonna know EVERYTHING that happened to afton, what caused him to turn into this dark creature. Henry, after all is one of the people that William had hurt so his view on William is obviously going to be biased and he isn’t going understand the innermost desires of what William wanted to achieve (So is Charlie and John or any of the other protagonists). They only learned one side of the story and therefore they will be against afton; which is understandable. After all, he did do these awful things and seemingly shows little regret towards it so therefore he is in the wrong. So why did I bring up Mike and the idea of him trying to redeem his father? Well simple, he’s technically the only person to know both sides of afton, he was the first son so he probably knew what his father was like before the first ever establishment that was Fredbear’s; not only that, when he spoke in the final cutscene of sister location; he didn’t sound angry with his father, he didn’t hold a grudge, even after his father sent him down on a suicide mission. he might actually understand William’s point of view while also understanding why it’s wrong to the others. Therefore why he possibly caused the fire at FNAF 3, maybe it’s to slow his father down or it’s to release him so that Michael can lure him to Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza Place where Henry was supposedly going to free the remaining souls. Maybe FNAF 3 was a part 1 to the plan that was paragraph 4 and that Michael was the enactor of those steps as Henry sat in the shadows. Eh just some thoughts

Now, I’m under a mix of “Mike despises William’s actions, but not William overall” thanks to that tone during that speech. He may not condone his father and what he’s done, but he’s trying not to hold a personal grudge. Same with Elizabeth, though he’ll act like a older brother about the scooping thing. You know, joking about it just to rub it in.

Mike trying to pull a redemption arc with his father, though. HmmMM…

And now, an in-character Afton monologue because I have this stuck in my head

You really think you’ve cracked it, hmm?

You honestly think these tapes have exposed these… paternal issues I would seem to have? These… wounds caused many years ago? The manipulator once being the manipulated, young and afraid?

Bold of you to assume so with such a lack of concrete evidence. Here. Let me paint some more logical (though no leas unfortunate) conclusions you could have made.

First comes the obvious. All of these accusations were forged— be it false memories or very well done acting under pressure. Nothing more, nothing less. One could also cry for it being a metaphor of Vanny’s mind being harshly manipulated— which could also be suitable.

The second requires me taking a risk: accusing myself of something as heinous. Perhaps, though I personally doubt Elizabeth has come back, her soul could’ve lived long enough to proclaim how twisted my soul really was in life. One that could tear apart families in a single word. I’ve done the same through my “experiments”. Why not extend the claim? ”Go all in”, so to speak?

Yes. I’m aware I’m putting myself in a strange position with these ideas. The Man Behind the Slaughter, thrusting what’s left of his reputation into a fiery furnace and leaving it to burn? What nonsense has driven me to this point? Shouldn’t I have just been content to remain a boogeyman with some sliver of humanity uncovered in his last days?

Yes, I should have. But these cries of childhood weakness have felt more condemning than any reminders of my crimes. Perhaps it’s shame seeping through. Perhaps it’s the old fear of being caught. You can decide on your own time. One reason I will make clear is this:

You can’t prove anything yet.

Bracing myself for Tales from the Pizzaplex to disprove so many theories in one go. This’ll be a punch in the gut for sure, especially if the “the one manipulated in the custody case was William” thing is entirely wrong. I’ve clutched too hard to that one.
