Wip Wednesday

Athanasia huffs. Of course, her dad doesn’t know. She’s seen very well how the ladies try to get closer to Felix but because of someone they all back away.

It’s really pitiful. At this rate, Felix is going to spend his whole life single.

“That’s because of you, daddy!” Athanasia shouts. “You keep him locked by your side and scare away all the ladies!”

Claude gives her face that says, and? Like he doesn’t understand what’s the problem, which is so infuriating.

“You can’t be greedy! If you want to monopolise Felix then you’ll have to take responsibility!” She bursts out, only to recognise the implications of her words a moment later.

She stares at her father. Claude stares right back.

Uh. Did she just imply that he should take Felix as a partner?

Does that mean Felix would become her father????

Wait — that was besides the point. There’s still the whole thing her dad has going on with her late mother; no doubt he’s going to feel foul if she brings up potential future partners, even if that’s not what she meant at all. Shit.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean —” Athanasia rushes to say, when Claude interrupts her.

“Take responsibility, you say,” He says. His lips tilt into a smirk. It sounds oddly ominous.
