Rabbi Angela Buchdahl is the first Asian American rabbi, and one of only a handful of women rabbis in the U.S. She was voted last week to succeed Rabbi Peter Rubenstein as the leader of Manhattan’s Central Synagogue. She takes over leadership of the congregation on July 1.
