Thinking about Zhou Zishu feeling like he’s actually Meeting Wen Kexing for the first time all over again after he regains his senses.
The first time he sees him with clear eyes, sees his smile, sees his handsome face that has gotten him into so much trouble. The first time he hears him laugh and say “A-xu” without it being muffled. The first time he gets close and can smell what kind of perfume he uses, what oil he puts in his hair. The first time he touches him and the dull response of his fingertips becomes a song of how warm he is, how soft his robes are, how silky his newly silver hair feels flowing over his hand.
How amazing it must have been to feel like you are coming back to life just by experiencing the presence of your soulmate fully for the first time, no barrier of nails tearing your flesh and deadening your senses, keeping you apart even if he’s right in front of you. When he’d spent so much of their relationship slowly slipping further and further away, fading, how much more he must have cherished finally having all of Wen Kexing, not just having all of him, but actually being able to feelit?

At first glance these sleeping robes look identical, but Wen Kexing’s are in a different fabric - a fine crinkled cotton, from the look of it - and his sleeves are a different style. You can see the different sleeve styles in image #7, where they are standing in the doorway together.

A look that is either blue or green depending on the lighting. I’m inclined to think it’s truly in the blue ranges because in the closeups his clothes match the velvet band on his guan (hair crown), which is blue in costume #2.
We only get a brief look at this outfit, in a flashback when he tells Wen Kexing some of his history with the Window of Heaven. Noteworthy detail: the asymmetric collar of his outer robe.
No but I just finished ep 12 and I just can’t get over this moment The tenderness with which Zishu calls Lao Wen is even more impactful than when Kexing does the same thing by calling him In my opinion . Because it’s one of the few moments when we see Zishu openly happy and vulnerable
