Test run day at @bavarianblacksmithexp before our damascus class with @nagelhausforge tomorrow.
@kylethorntongram , @silvernaile_smithing , Sarah and I cranked up the gas forges and pressed out this wrought iron laminate blade this morning on our @coalironworks 12 ton.
I wanted to run the forge welding test on wrought iron because it requires a higher heat than high carbon steel. I’ll post an update when we get it finished… stay tuned
