when andrea gibson said “i suppose i love this life, in spite of my clenched fist.” & when ellen bass said “to love life, to love it even when you have no stomach for it”

the thing about. the thing about wolf 359 that i can not handle. that i simply cannot vibe with for more than five seconds without becoming overwhelmed with melancholy. is the bit. the bit where. the “hera, I -” because not only is that basically it, like, there you go! thanks for listening! this has been wolf 359! but you KNOW what he was going to say! i saw doctor who! my “rose tyler, I -” ass can’t do this anymore bro i simply cannot sit there and listen to that ever a goddamn gain it simply guts me babe it hollows me rightout. not sexy

MY EMOTIONS AFTER THE FINALE BE LIKE;

Twelfth Night is an inherently a better play when the grief and love Viola and Sebastian feel for each other is actually felt in the actors performances. All their actions are painted with the grief they feel at the loss of the other and it is hard to read this as well in text only.

Poor Viola doesn’t tell anyone how fresh her loss is. She tells Orsino but in the third person as if she is her own sister. This play takes place over a few months but to think she has been harboring this pain and can’t be direct to anyone about it.

Like Sebastian does come clean to Antonio, about who he is and his past. How his sister drowned and how sad he is about it. I do think his good mood later is attributed to the fact he came clean about how he was feeling.

Sibling Love is at the core of Twelfth Night, and while I enjoy the romance and the comedy, it really is less of a play without the sibling bond of Viola and Sebastian.

I’m just thinking about how the first line a civilian says to Batman in the movie is “please don’t hurt me”. How his first monologue is about how the criminals of the city look up and see that light and it strikes fear,buthe strikes fear into the people he says he protects as well and the people he fights.

I’m just THINKING about how the LAST INTERACTION HE HAS WITH A CIVILIAN is her holding onto him, terrified to let go, because he didn’t just beat up the people who hurt her, he carried her out of that building and to safety. She isn’t afraid he’s going to hurt her.

IM JUST THINKING ABOUT HOW THE SUN IS RISING BEHIND HIM AS HE CARRIES HER.
