The first time Geralt kissed Jaskier, they’d been bickering.

Over something trivial, as usual, but they had both been drinking and Jaskier was getting carried awaywith it, lost in the rhythm of his own ranting. He almost upset their tankards more than once with his sweeping gestures. At some point, Jaskier leaned across the table, stabbing the surface of it with one finger as he glared drunkenly into Geralt’s eyes and the next thing Geralt knew, he was pitching forward and pressing his lips against Jaskier’s.

It meant nothing. It was … nothing. Just a way to make Jaskier stop talking. And he did fall silent, his cheeks heating red like embers, his lips pink and still slightly open when Geralt pulled away.

Oddly fetching.

“What was that?” Jaskier demanded.

“Shut you up, didn’t it?” Geralt looked away, draining his tankard.

I’m really digging that Bart has his attitude back in the Tim Drake Pride Special. Too often Bart is dumbed down to ‘sweet sunshine child who is oblivious to everything’ and while he is a sweet sunshine child who is oblivious to everything, he’s also not? He’s a grumpy snarky teenager too but sometimes the comics like to omit that part.

He’s a multifaceted kid who is really happy when he’s happy and likes to cheer up his friends with jokes and he’s also a bit of a hot head who gets annoyed very quickly and doesn’t quite know how to rein in his temper. He’s the smartest kid in the room and he’s also been zoned out for the last ten minutes.

It’s just so great to see him be snarky. I’ve missed it. Young Justice argues and bickers. They aren’t always just wholesome sweet fun and I’m glad that we’re seeing a more well rounded version of them here.
