perhaps the thing i love most abt yuri on ice is that all the main boys are genderfuckers.
like yuuri goes to his ballet teacher and asks how to move more femininely, and yuri is training to become a prima ballerina while his body is still sort of androgynous, and one of viktors most memorable performances was with his hair long and his costume half masculine and half feminine and the point of that was to be both things at once.
and all of those things are included/done so normally, like its no big deal and it doesnt change their gender perceptions of themselves. none of them are ashamed or uncomfortable with it. it just is and i love that??

honestly tho as an agender person, seeing this made me feel some type of way. the themes of lgbt and gender positivity in YOI were magical.
