This from a very funny episode of Pete Holmes’s podcast, You Made It Weird. He talks with comic, actor, rapper TJ Miller and they get on the topic of how people take on certain mannerisms/bits that their friends do, and how this transfers into comedy and performing. Pete has this theory that people are springs and also sponges. Springs have ideas that are generated from nothing, organically, and sponges absorb the ideas (water) that the springs put out.
