Okay, but what if it was Yomi who led the botched operation that ended up getting Kuronoue killed and that was the straw that broke the camel’s back for Kurama after all the other “best” men whose lives were lost because of Yomi’s disobedience?
i absolutely fucking love the idea of kurama treating his plants like theyre his pets. or children even. talking to them and getting them the best nutrient-rich soil and everything despite the fact he can grow them just with his demon energy. he grows little murderous demonic plants that he coos at and rubs the top of as it wiggles happily before feeding it a straight up rat that it absolutely obliterates
Thinking about how one of the reasons Yusuke chose to live again after being hit by that car was because he realized his mom was heartbroken and not better off without him and the reason Kurama decided to change his ways was because his mother taught him how to love and be loved and the reason Mukuro cites for being saved from being consumed by darkness is because she came into contact with the stone shed by his mother at birth, which was imbued with the love she had for him despite everyone in her village telling her he was a monster who needed to die, which implies that Hiei himself was also saved from succumbing to all-consuming hatred by his mother’s love.
This piece took me so long bc I kept stopping and redrawing it I finished it last year in my iPad. My art style is much better now that I have an actual drawing tablet, but it’s still one of my favorite pieces!
