Brother Wharnsby is a Canadian folk and nasheed artist who contributes greatly to the spread of Islam in an art form more prone to negative attitudes and topics that do not benefit the young Muslim soul.

Working with several artists like Zain Bhikha,Yusuf Islam and others, brother Dawud’s music is highly influenced by Yusuf Islam, where he worked with him on the nasheed “Bismillah”. Named one of the 500 most influential MuslimsbyThe Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre of Jordan, Dawud sings praise of Allah swt in every track, seeking to bring the listener in constant awareness of Allah swt and His prophet Muhammad (saws).

Some personal favorite nasheeds are “Afraid To Read”, “The Prophet”, and “The Story of Ibrahim”.
