Has anyone else been to Zalipie yet? What a cute little town near Kraków! They paint both the inside and outsides of their homes in the traditional style of the village; originally to hide the black marks left behind from the fire places, and now to keep the tradition alive. They even have a contest every year to determine the best painting, which has been featured on Japanese television!
