Art Studies! (LeekFish, SophieCabra, ZuTheSkunk)

These are my drawings, imitating some styles of artists with recognizable and unique styles. It’s an art study, where I try to understand how the artist visualizes their drawings or how they think. No, I’m not trying to ‘steal’ their styles, but learn from them. Its how artists grow, observing other artwork and artist’s work.  Too often this is considered as stealing, which is unfortunate.

Another reason for this art study is to practice imitation. One of the most desirable traits of an artist in the entertainment industry is to mimic a style. Like lets say you have 200 animators for a hand drawn movie, they all need to be able to draw the character the same way across the board.
