16-year-old Alice Foster is a nobody, and that’s fine by her. The closest she ever gets to fame and fortune is when she has tea with local eccentric millionaire Rosamund F. Calloway a couple times a month.

After Mrs. Calloway dies, all anyone can talk about is her rumored stash of gold, and where she might have hidden it. Then Mrs. Calloway’s butler hand-delivers a letter to Alice, in English class. A letter which not only confirms that the hidden treasure exists, but implies that Alice is meant to find it.

There’s nothing Alice loves more than a mystery. But solving this one would shove her into the public eye, a prospect more chilling than it is thrilling.

Alice is torn. Until she learns the Sunny Side Up Diner is about to go under. The diner where her best friend Clark not only works, but lives, having been more or less adopted by the owners.

In order to save it, Alice and her friends have to find Mrs. Calloway’s hidden fortune, before anyone else can. All they have is wit, grit, and a well-trained pet rat named Ringo.

They may be nobodies, but they’re going for the gold.

WHAT’LL COME FIRST, the year 3000 or total nuclear annihilation?  Most consider it a crap shoot – not worth counting the years when Numerika’s mascot sing songs to climb under your desk every other hour on the radio.  And let’s be honest, an organ debt sounds more pleasant because of the hedonism it takes to get there than living the Dream does.  So things go for you, for me, for all of us.  Except–

When Government documents are leaked by the illusive A.M. causing foreign pressure to force officials to release of their most successful radiation test subjects, SEBASTIAN LIU gets his first taste of a world that isn’t pocket-suburbia or sterile hospital for the first time in his twenty three years.  He owns little: fifty in cash, three bottles of vikky and a doctor’s number in his pocket.  A ticket for a taxi to drop him in the nearest city.  

He also knows little… except what he shouldn’t:  that there’s something metal buried into the back of his skull that is barely holding his evolved and dying body together.

Now twelve years since his town was sabotaged and nearly wiped from existence, Sebastian has a chance at revenge against everyone who put a single thought into it.  But being trapped in the mother city, MEDULAwith no resources and a body short on time means deals with many devils might be the only way to finish what he puts into motion.
