His most famous creation is probably Mamono Hunter Yohko, a character designed for an unreleased game book (~1988) written by Jūzō Mutsuki and later reused in an OAV series (1990-95) as well as in 3 video games (1991-93).
The first PC Engine game started as an RPG.
The cover art of the Mega Drive game was originally just a study but Miyao’s boss decided to use it for the game.
