Neji-Roku
Doors and windows are often secured with neji-roku(screw lock). A two piece screw, with a thread and handle, and a separate threaded receiver. Opening and closing requires the branded handle to be turned to unthread the lock.
Thisneji-roku was installed with new sliding doors on our large naya, perhaps in the Showa-era, to replace the forged steel hasp in the lower photograph.
