                                          R.I.P. Ginger Baker

Ginger Baker, the drummer, and bandleader who died Sunday morning at age 80. His death was announced by his family on social media; they had said on Sept. 25 that he was “critically ill,” without giving details.

The wild-eyed son of a South London bricklayer, Baker was the engine room of rock’s first and still most revered power trio, Cream. He played a similarly key role in shaping the more finessed work of one of rock’s first supergroups, Blind Faith.

Adam Haritan of Learn your land talks about the medicinal                                         benefits of Boneset.

Adam Haritan is an extremely knowledgeable young man. You can tell that he genuinely loves nature’s organisms and wants you to love them as well.  

After watching this video I decided to go looking for Boneset along with Blue Vervain. Little did I know at the time that if you find Boneset you’ll probably find Blue Vervain nearby. So I found both in one shot. 

Boneset has a very familiar bitter taste like many other medicinal plants such as Yarrow only much stronger. Even though the taste is very bitter I consider it to be a nice bitter or an agreeable bitter. If that makes any sense.

      Casting Crowns - Nobody (Featuring Mathew West)

Casting Crowns is probably my favorite all-around Christian Band because aside from their obvious talent, their songs are always on point concerning the message. 

Anyone who considers themselves a real Christian knows how important humility is. Our society seems so wrapped up in the whole “I’m better than you” trap. If you see it for what it is -  It is a disorder which people succumb to, to fill some void that has been produced by feelings of inadequacy.  It’s a problem waiting to happen! So you had better watch out! When I catch myself falling into that trap I immediately say to myself “I’m Just a Nobody” Hallelujah Jesus!

Lead singer Mark Hall is the youth minister at Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church in McDonough, Georgia, while the other members are active in their respective churches. They do the band part-time around their full-time work of raising families and church service. 

GRAMMY-winning band Casting Crowns recently released their newest studio album, Only Jesus. When discussing the band’s latest project, Casting Crowns’ frontman Mark Hall takes great pains to shift the focus off of the band, off of himself, and solely onto the one they sing about—Jesus. “There’s much talk these days about legacy,” shares Hall about the new album. “How do we want to be remembered? The more I think about it, the more I’m reminded that anything in me that’s worth remembering are the things that Jesus has worked on, and is still working on in me. On my own, I have nothing to offer the world, but Jesus does - so don’t mind me. Jesus is the only name to remember.”

Mathew West is possibly THE most prolific singer-songwriter in Christian music today.

Heidi talks about her favorite medicinal and culinary herbs. At the very end of this video, Heidi tells how she and her husband were both on thyroid medication for fifteen years each. Seven years ago she weened them both off the medication using medicinal herbs. The doctors say once you’re on thyroid medication you’re on it for life. Now they’re doing just fine without the prescribed medications thanks to the natural herbal approach.

I remember when I was a non-believer I would hear how some religions do not believe in doctors. I would laugh and say, haha, how stupid they are for thinking that way. Now I see doctors in the same way I see lawyers, and that ain’t good!
