A green witch is typically a witch who specializes and focuses on natural materials and energies. They are often skilled herbalists and probably enjoys gardening. Like a lot. You might be a baby green witch or an experienced one. Maybe even an eclectic one, no matter what, all is welcome!
I am most certainly not entitled to knowing everything about green witches but I want to help out some people when stuck on not knowing what to research.

I found yarrow buried in snow on a ski run yesterday! I was with dan’s family and everyone thought my excitement was hilarious. I picked some and put it on my alter.
Have you ever walked into a space and felt home? I walked in late to my first materia medira class into a house with lofted ceilings, images of Guadalupe, books, big windows, and dashes of color. I exhaled and settled into my seat. I got myself homemade tea and prepared myself to learn. Shelley asked us to challenge ourselves outside of our classic student type. As she talks about lessening control my pen flies put of my hand. Point taken

6oz of herbs (Calendula, Comfrey, Plantain, St. John’s Wort, Lavender)
Choice of oil Sweet Almond Oil, Olive Oil, Castrol Oil)
Cheese Cloth
Amber Glass Jar (For Storage)
Steps-
Step one: Make sure your jars are clean and sterilized and very Dry, If not it can cause mold and or rancid oil, making it unusable. Step Two: Put your 6oz of herbs into the jar Step Three: Pour your oil over the Herbs to the top of the jar Step Four: Take a Chopstick/fork and make sure there are no air bubbles in the oil if there is it can cause Mold and or Rancid oil. Step Five: Cover with your airtight lid, Make sure to place it on a plate or a towel as to it may leak, Make sure to also shake it every few days for 2 to 3 weeks longer if you feel like it needs it you can do this up to six weeks. ( Note: Keep in a Cool Area in your house also Simi Shade) Step Six: Take the Cheese Cloth and place it in a Metal Mesh Strainer and place a bowl under it and strain the Herbs from the Oil, Making sure you squeeze the oils out of the herbs. Step seven: Use a Kitchen funnel to pour the Oil into the Amber Glass Bottle for storage make sure to keep it in a cool place and keep out of direct sunlight (Note: Will Keep Up to One “1” Year.)

Growing my herbs for magical and healing uses. That alone with my veggie garden has given me so much peace. My anxiety is down so much and my flashbacks are nonexistent at the moment. For the first time in a very long time… life is good.

This herb has anti-diabetic, anti-bacterial, anti-convulsant and anti-inflammatory properties. It is known to treat wounds, liver disorders,colds, fits, anxiety and other neurological issues. It’s also has womb healing benefits.
Christmas candle stick is known as a legal substitute for marijuana as it is smoked for its euphoric and psychoactive properties.
Condomble, an African spiritual tradition in Brazil, regards Christmas Candlestick as a holy herb. The same for Winti…another African spiritual tradition in Suriname.
I’ve come down with the flu and this is what I’m drinking to help keep the symptoms at bay:
Add a tablespoon of honey to hot water, stir to dissolve (soothes sore throats).
Add 1/3 of a lemon’s juice, stir to combine (high in vitamins, boosts immune systems).
Take a small sprig of thyme and let it steep in the mug (known for ability to fight colds and flus).
You can witchy it up like I did by thanking the ingredients, asking a deity for their blessing or imbuing the brew with healing, strengthening intentions.
I recommend drinking hot and inhaling the steam to clear your airways. Stay healthy this change of seasons, lovelies!
