This particular diamond was first worn by socialite Mary Whitehouse in 1957. It was then most famously hooked up by Audrey Hepburn to promote the movie “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” in 1961. For Hepburn, the brand’s senior designer Jean Schlumberger finished this necklace called Ribbon Rosette after a long struggle. To commemorate the famous designer, the brand was turned into a brooch called “Bird on a Rock”, also designed by Jean Schlumberger, in 1995 and displayed at the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris.
