This Juneteenth Solar Eclipse New Moon Solstice weekend also led us into Cancer season.

At our altar build, I invited y'all to imagine with me. My vision is Black Magic Sanctuary: Sauna & Respite Center for Black & Indigenous folks.

This is a vision I’ve had for many years, but I didn’t believe it could move back then. Black queer folks healing didn’t feel valued widely enough yet. But right now is different.

Right now especially, we need a sacred healing space. We need land, food gardens, saunas & community. We need safety, autonomy, and affirmation.
