This is long overdue. And they need to win.

“We want them to see justice in their lifetime,” civil rights attorney Damario Solomon-Simmons said, choking back tears. “I’ve seen so many survivors die in my 20-plus years working on this issue. I just don’t want to see the last three die without justice. That’s why the time is of the essence.”

Tulsa Massacre was state-sanctioned bomb dropping, gun-toting, fire setting, bat swinging racial violence against Black Americans of the 35-block area in Greenwood District aka Black Wall Street and their businesses in 1921. Domestic terrorism that is only familiar to Black Americas because it’s happened countless times on this soil against our people without consequence.

Don’t nobody want no damn grants as a form of payment, no scholarships, no semi-payments, no dumbass apologies. Only tax-free cash payments for the three living survivors—Lessie Benningfield Randle, 107, Viola Fletcher, 107, and Hugh Van Ellis, 101—and hopefully for the descendants of those whose family has since passed so they can rebuild their community that has been subjected to poverty. 

Reparations is a debt owed for injustice. Pay it. 

This will be the first of three separate forms of reparations being sought. The other two are lineage-based state reparations for Black Americans, which are currently being studied to figure out the monetary number in a number of states like California, and federal reparations to follow…even tho y’alls president is being an ass per usual.  

Enough been enough. 

Black American wealth has been projected to drop to zero by 2053 for how many years now? Fuck that.

Give those Tulsa survivors and descendants their damn money so they can rebuild without spending a dollar outside off their community like other ethnic groups in America get to do today without consequence of being domestically terrorized and bombed. 

When it comes to Black Americans fighting for monetary repair against the horrors of continual vile injustices that never ceased since our people were declared as property on this soil, all of a sudden people get leery and have so many questions: “Where will the money will come from? Do citizens have to pay? Why should it be paid at all when it happened so long ago?The people who did it are dead?” 

Blah blah blah. Got all the juice for the descendants chattel slavery who built the damn country they’re reaping the labor of through resources and governmental set asides that intentionally cut us out among other things. They don’t ask none of these questions when it comes to reparations being paid (annually) to other ethnic groups in this country AND outside of this country. Only when it’s the niggas. 

Pay them.

Eve ry time I post something about reparations, there’s always some incoming news. Ancestors are on board, chile . 

Congrats, California!!     

This is so pivotal for the AB3121 California Task Force Reparations Proposal for Black Americans. Data disaggregation been needed to be in every state. They’re finally listening.

“Black or African American” was purposely done…for obvious reasons, causing people to file under a racial ethnic group they aren’t nor identify as. Can’t get specific things done if others are identifying as you. We’re invisible on paper because of this. We’ll finally see who is who in Cali for starters. 

Now we need a new ethnic group to follow.

I’ve been thinking Native Black American/Negro. “Native” because there are people who don’t descend from U.S. chattel slavery but still self-identify as such as well as their real ethnic group. That’s harmful for us. And we gotta dust off and bring Negro back . (Go sit your ass down, Obama.) It connects to the language used on our ancestors paperwork throughout centuries in this country, which is a seamless connecter for our reparations.

You ever realized race stopped being listed on US birth certificates, death certificates, driver’s license and other things since 1970 (I believe) other than your “select a choice” doctors forms and the US census? Although that began to be taken away in plain sight, we were simply called Black. “Say it loud.” You know the rest took place in 1960s but the label dates back rather than that. 

Then insert Jesse undermining Jackson changing our ethnicity in 1988, which was technically just Black even tho others prob wouldn’t understand why we use it as an ethnic group and race, on his own behalf to African American, which I explained is an immigrant identifier and a Pan African identifier (everyone of African descent): Insert the convo around Chalize and Elon Musk’s ass here . 

In the United States, your race was determined by your mother’s race. 

What was our classified identifier before the 1850s: Tribal names/Slave/Free Colored/Gens de couleur libres (in Louisiana and Missouri…? (don’t take my word fully on Missouri but I believe so))

“Black” dates back to the 1850 US Census for those who weren’t filed as Mulatto then the collective reclassification of American Indians/Black/Mulatto (mix between two or three: Black,American Indian,White) as Negro (then the Dawes Rolls kicks off with the $5 Indians aka them “settlers”, kicking out brown (actual color brown)/dark brown Indians for what would be called “Native American” for the Five CivilizedTribes)thenColoredthen back to Black later “Say it loud.” thenAfro-American on the 1970s US Census then African American in the 1990 US Census then Black/African American then “Black or African American”  in 2020 to present-day. All these damn names, chile. 

That’s why Black American comes into play. It’s more understandable for others. Adding Native in the front will create a clear distinction if it pans out this way.

From the second one: “In 1910, Black farmers owned more than 16 million acres of land, according to experts. In 2017, when the most recent agricultural census was done, that figure was just 4.7 million acres, about 0.5% of all farmland.” The value estimate is for “1920 and 1997 in the 17 states where almost all Black-owned farms were documented.”

They concluded the article with: “A Biden administration effort to provide debt relief to farmers of color as part of the American Rescue Plan Act, framed as repair for past USDA discrimination, is currently stalled in court after white farmers argued it was discriminatory.”

“People of color,” “BIPOC,” whatever “of color” is harmful and they know it . When there is a specific thing that deeply affects Black Americans, they love to shoehorn “POC” or “Black and brown” just to make everyone feel included even tho it’s not their fight nor does it affect them. God forbid if Black Americans finally receive restitution for this country’s unpaid debts towards us huh… Lump everyone in … This is how things never benefit Black Americans, but others…if anything is actually done…

Just how Biden shoehorned in Native Americans (italicized for the Dawes Rolls $5 Indians) as a stipulation when it comes to Black Americans (despite our lineage reflecting American Indian descent through the US census records going as far back to the 1500s and those oral familial tribe stories generationally passed down) finally receiving federal and state reparations for chattel slavery and lost land, and federal and state-sanctioned laws that created and still heavily piles atop the the centuries deep wealth disparity between Black Americans and white Americans/others immigrating in.

So why was the land seized? You know why. But for clarity:

-It’s more profitable for stolen land from Black Americans now headed by white farmland owners (to generate more wealth disparity in favor of white wealth) and Latino farmland owners to enlist cheap (illegal) labor through Latino farming in America. Just as with carpentry. This was originally filled with Black Americans who built this country and their descendants soon became less sought after to keep the monetary payout low. Trading places. Cheaper (illegal) labor. This is where you insert mass immigration which leads to food insecurity and land disparity  for new residents. Mass immigration has never/will never benefit any country. 

-White South Africans have been coming over here displacing Black American farmers in states like Mississippi.A continuation into the wealth and land disparity. They’ve been in court for a minute where Black farmers are suing in regards environmental racism (pay disparity, benefits they weren’t allowed to receive, accommodation disparity where white South African acquired rent free housing, racial slurs; the works). South Africa is even keeping track.

- Bill Gates and his now ex-wife, Melinda, quietly became the largest individual farmland owners in the United States. How is this allowed? You know how and why. 

- “China is buying up American farms. Washington wants to crack down. By the start of 2020, Chinese owners controlled about 192,000 agricultural acres in the U.S., worth $1.9 billion, including land used for farming, ranching and forestry, according to the Agriculture Department.” This isn’t unfamiliar territory for a number of countries in Africa who’s seeing the same happen in their countries . 

There’s a lot that goes into undermining an ethnic group. These are just a few. Meanwhile people say all we do is complain and look for (non-existent) handouts. Comedy…
