RP from @osatyam: We’re still raising funds for the Black QT centered healing center, #BlackMagicSanctuary .
This sauna & respite center is in stage one of getting the funds to acquire land. If we get 333 people to donate just $14, we’ll hit our first milestone of $10K.
Put $14 on it and share widely! Let’s get our communities the space and healing we deserve.
Also, in case you missed it, @osatyam will be collaborating with @community_di for a thing. It’s mostly virtual, but 100% for the queer folks missing intimate spaces.
We are both raising funds for healing. Dionne is on phase 2, I’m on big phase 1 of raising the money for the land that #BlackMagicSanctuary : Sauna & Respite Center will call home. This new offering will support both projects. And you can always continue to give in the meantime. (at Atlanta, Georgia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CDjoOksJOP4/?igshid=vvm3yoo5kldx
What if you had access to deep, immersive, but communal rest?
In a place that you visited weekly as if it were ritual. In a place where the magic of nature was at your doorstep.
Where your only goal is restoration. Your schedule looks like eating good food, walking on bare earth, sitting in a room of rose quartz, & ending your day stargazing.
Atlanta needs this space. Are you ready to help make it real? Contribute to #BlackMagicSanctuary & share widely. And tag folks who need to see this. LINK IN BIO Art: @goodegawd
Imagine holding collective trauma in your body Collective grief Heavy ancestral duty. Imagine releasing that into the land Allowing the earth to transmute it.
Imagine the spaciousness to process grief. Imagine being held by soil, nearby trees Magnolia flowers.
Supported into ease by the sweet scent of jasmine. And slipping into a bath to wash away the clutter.
Resetting. Taking pause. Remembering yourself.
This is a vision that, when fully realized, will be supportive & slow & communal. And most importantly, safe and affirming for Black & Indigenous queer & trans folks. So let’s get these funds so when tragedy & urgency comes again, we wont need to imagine & wait. It is also a practice you can get close to RIGHT NOW in your backyard, patio, apartment, bathroom, or bed. Keep that one tiny potted plant close, or your plant corner. Make your situation work for you.
Get that shit out. Regularly. WE NEED US ALL AT OUR BEST. Take pause when you need to. Photos: @tif2cool from #HealTheLandATL Art: @goodegawd
- First is the washing machine. The drive block needed to be replaced so we wouldn’t need to leave the house to wash clothes. It was simple enough.
- DIY compost bin! I wanted something enclosed because rats definitely exist in Atlanta. I didn’t have a drill, so I made the holes with a fired paint key. Cause the country raised me right.
- The leg on this beautiful tall plant stand was split when I adopted it. A little sandpaper, wood glue, & clamps from @durags.in.public made it functional. You can see the repair on the left where the glue residue is.
- Moss wall!!! This took a while to get around to finishing. And I’m so glad it’s easily portable. While all these things came with me when I moved (minus the struggle washing machine) this is the only picture taken in my new spot. The panels fit perfectly down to the floor on a strip of wall across from 2 windows & I love having a green wall in a small space.
- We still need big funds for #BlackMagicSanctuary and I’m willing to put in as much physical labor as it takes to keep my body well in the long term and the bodies of my loves here in Atlanta. But we need the capital. LET’S GET THESE FUNDS!!
Imagine walking the land Free in your body Picking native #honeysuckles Sharing with a friend And tasting the sweet nectar Imagine looking up Seeing only land And sauna And sweatlodge And Black And liberation.
I want this for us. For Black Atlanta QTs. We deserve spa & respite & freedom & safety.
Last night, we reached our first 1K towards #BlackMagicSanctuary and I’m grateful. KEEP CONTRIBUTING AND SHARING. There is power in numbers and we need a massive re-distribution of funds to bring some semblance of equity. To get the spaces we deserve.

The liberation of Black trans and queer people is not always about fighting for our humanity. Help Black Atlanta heal its wounds by funding #BlackMagicSanctuary. -@community_di
If you are a working class person who feels resonate with this vision, please donate $33 or $55 and share like wildfire, but no amount is too small.
If you have more access or are connected to an org, put $111 or $1111 on it or more!

FUNDRAISER ASK: This Juneteenth Solar Eclipse New Moon Solstice weekend also led us into Cancer season.
At our altar build, I invited y'all to imagine with me. My vision is Black Magic Sanctuary: Sauna & Respite Center for Black & Indigenous folks. bit.ly/blacksanctuaryfund
This is a vision I’ve had for many years, but I didn’t believe it could move back then. Black queer folks healing didn’t feel valued widely enough yet. But right now is different.
Right now especially, we need a sacred healing space. We need land, food gardens, saunas & community. We need safety, autonomy, and affirmation.
