The Shellycoat is an odd creature found living in the waters in Scotland. The Shellycoat is described as a troll-like creature  with green skin and wearing a coat made out of shells. A Shellycoat’s shells will rattle letting you know when it’s near by but it’s not harmful but rather a trickster pretending to drown in the water and when someone goes to help the person who they think is drowning, the Shellycoat reveals itself and laughs. Many people believe the Shellycoat was created as a story for parents to tell their children in order to keep them away from deep bodies of water.
