Please keep in mind that COVID-19 has severely impacted these productions. Strongest Challengers canceled pretty much their entire tour, and the Trash Heap had to work with seating cut in half and canceled shows due to covid exposures. As much as we would prefer that the cast and crew can stay safe and simply not perform, there is no government aid for them and so they are taking the risk and performing anyway.
One of the reasons these streams are made available now is to make a small attempt to recoup financial losses. Please do not pirate this production, please do not encourage piracy of this show or any of their shows, please purchase and support the cast and crew if you can, especially during this pandemic.
The FAQ page of this blog also provides links to help you purchase DVDs for all previous productions (x)
Yoshinari (Yamaguchi) shows us the beat-up shoes that took him through the past 2 years of Engeki Haikyuu, hoping they’ll hold up until the very end. (x)
mmmmm okay i need to rant a little bc i am seeing people shit on scott smajor about pride mcc already. i am so fucking pissed off at all the people who are like “you should be aiming for 100% lgbtq actually ” like shut the fuck up. he said 50% MINIMUM. and that’s likely bc of schedule conflicts and shit so every single lgbtq+ streamer who’s ever played mcc might not be available or even sign up. ALSO. STOP FUCKING ASSUMING PEOPLE’S IDENTITIES. there could be streamers participating who might seem “straight” but may actually be queer and just aren’t out yet. like for example, lizzie was in last year’s pride mcc but didn’t come out as bi until after the event. so it’s probably likely that there are people participating who may be out among friends, but not to the community, and that’s fine. people should be able to come out when they’re ready (unlike the fucking fiasco that was basically people forcing dream to come out before he was ready).
also can we take a moment and see how fucking shitty it is that people are being cruel and hateful to a GAY man for organizing a pride event for charity. like take a step back and look at how fucked up that is.
anyway tl;dr- stop fucking complaining about mcc pride and realize there are a lot of logistical things going into this, as well as recognizing that there could be closeted people in the event- or even just allies! shouldn’t the aim be support here? shouldn’t it be nice to see straight people supporting queer people? is it that fucking hard to believe? anyway, support scott smajor or die by my blade
Jimmy Solidarity as a villain would be great, he’s singing at the top of his lungs while going to rob someone, he’s dancing as they burn to death, he’s paying for assassins and then trying to scam them, he’s paying his enemies to kill each other, he’s collecting powerful allies one smile at a time, he’s Screaming, he’s a menace and he’ll kill you <3
[ID:three drawings of individual hermits in winter wear.
The first is of Cleo, who has curly hair that pushes against the hat. There’s a pom pom on top of the hat, and on a string attached to the ear. The other hat ear is behind her hair, out of sight. She’s wearing a simple jacket with a horizontal squiggly line across the front, bordered by two thinner squiggles on either side. She has one eye open, the other squinted.
The second drawing is of Zedaph, who is very bundled up with a pom pom hat, the fluff of a hood covering the bottom half of his face, and somewhat curly hair that falls over most of the rest. One eye is visible, watching something beyond the viewer. His jacket has lines implying a further insulating layer underneath.
The third is of xB, who’s wearing a pom pom hat and a simple hooded jacket that has a ringed circle on one of the sleeves and drawstrings on the hood. He has a beard and swoops of hair poke out from underneath the hat on his forehead. He stares with blank eyes. /End ID]
people are absolutely EVIL about the boundaries of “picky eaters”. no, they do not have to try it. yes, they can know they don’t like it without having eaten it before. no, they probably have not suddenly grown a taste for the food they’ve said they hate. no, they probably are not going to like it in the Special Way This One Place Cooks It. yes, you are being a bad friend if you try to “trick” them into eating it anyway
Things that actually help picky eaters try new things:
“Do you want to try this off of my plate?”
“It’s made of [ingredients], I think you’d like [x part]”
“If you want to see if you like [x food], this is pretty good representation of it”
“You won’t like this, it tastes like [description]. Do you want to try it for fun?”
“Do you remember trying/have you ever tried [x food]? This is like that, but [differences]”
“I think you’d like the taste of this, but the texture is iffy. It’s [description]”
Make sure there’s other food they can eat if they don’t like the new one
And most importantly, build trust with that person by listening to them, showing that you take their concerns into account, and being cool if the answer is no. No is always an option. This isn’t something you do once, it’s a pattern you have to stick to if you want to establish that you are a safe person when it comes to food stuff
Basically: offer the food, explain what’s in it and why you think it’s worth trying, and then be cool with the answer you get. No pressure, no trickery, just be straight up with people
couldn’t listen all the way through | not my thing | it’s okay | kinda catchy | ok i really like this | downloading immediately | already in my library
