Note: I found this post in my drafts and decided to finish it because I’ve been in an Idril mood lately.
I haven’t been talking about 1920s Gondolin much lately but I had a sudden burst of inspiration today so here are some thoughts on our favorite Chicago mobster heiress
- Was the first girl in her social circle to get her hair bobbed–and did it on Armistice Day
- Learned how to tango while at boarding school, and does so with Glorfindel at every possible opportunity
- Speaks with a faint British accent largely due to her father’s influence, and really plays it up when doing business deals to intimidate people
- Fluent in French
- Keeps a pistol in her garter at all times. It’s one of those adorable mini pearl-handled ones.
- Can balance a budget in her sleep
- On special occasions, drops a shot of whiskey in her coffee
