#2017 art summary

this year fucking sucked!!!! i finally graduated college but i was still anxious & depressed the whole time!!! i was lucky to draw one thing a month this year. awful.

Never done one of these before..

So putting this together was a bit discouraging, actually.  I feel like I haven’t improved much over this year, and it’s been difficult to make myself finish anything.

HOWEVER I am encouraged by the fact that I got a new scanner and now my scanned pictures won’t look like the Brightness/Contrast settings threw up on them.  Hopefully I’ll see more improvement in myself in 2018!  Happy New Year!

2017 ART SUMMARY

Last year I did one of these there were a lot of gaps and this year, even though I might have wanted to do a lot more I am still happy to have something to show for each month!

Thank you so, so much for all the amazing support (and for sticking around through my switching hyperfixations)! It really means a lot to me and I’m very excited to see what 2018 will bring!

This was a year of lots of experimenting, working under pressure of deadlines and my own expectations and pushing myself to do things I never thought possible. What this year has taught me is not to underestimate myself - it might take two or thirty tries to get something right, sometimes you’ll need to start over and that’s ok, something good will come out in the end✨

A summary of this year! It’s been one heck of a year, but a good one :) I got really into fanart thanks to YOI and I pushed myself to do more digital art! I don’t want to ramble too much but thank you for all the support! I hope to draw more in 2018!!

Some selected works from the past 12 months. 2017 was a raging dumpster fire of idiocy & fascism, but hopefully I made some decent art while the world went to shit… except in August. August was exceptionally shit.

Commissions will be re-opening soon for my winter holiday sale, so keep an eye out for that if you’ve wanted a commission piece but could benefit from the discount. But before that I’ll be holding a small portrait raffle on Twitter in the coming days, so if you have an account there, I’ll post a link for Tumblr users to participate.
