#28 day witchy challenge

LIVE

DAY 8 - Make a special cup of tea. If you’re not a tea drinker, try a different kind or hot coco or coffee. When making, focus in your intent. When drinking, focus on all the different flavors you taste and sensations you feel.

“Let an entire candle burn. I know this may sounds silly to some of you, but I am the type of person that struggles with this (unless doing a specific spell). So, just sit with your candle and watch it burn. Feel free to multitask while doing this. Just try to focus on it now and again. It can be a birthday candle or a very large candle, whatever works for you.”

I was in training for most of the week and then I was ill so I hit the pause button on the challenge. Time to hit play!

I’m playing with my new witchy planner stickers while I let my candle burn.

Spend some time in nature! Whether it is sitting on your lawn or taking a hike, or even a walk through the park, just take time to appreciate nature and Mother Earth and all she had given us.

This was def a challenge for me. My entire day’s plans were not very accommodating. The brief moments I did get to breathe fresh air, I took huge, greedy breaths. I could detect a grass fire off in the distance. But my crowning victory was catching the sunset. While watching the sun go down I couldn’t help but think that I most often catch the sun rise, not the sun set. Soon, that will change when I transition careers from night work to daytime work. I think I’ll miss the sunrises the most.

“Watch or listen to something witchy. Charmed, Practical Magic, listen to some witchy music, anything!”

I listened to a song by Libana called The Earth, The Air, The Fire, The Water. It’s pretty old-and sounds even older but it’s good and it makes me want to invoke the elements :)

DAY 4 - Piggy backing off of day 3, MAKE SOMETHING JUST FOR YOU AND YOUR CRAFT. Like all of these days, it can be something big or small. You can make a set of runes or maybe make yourself a picture for your alter. Just make it for YOU!

I had a busy day today so I made a myself a lovely cup of my favorite Jasmine tea and enjoyed it at my desk. It was a little bit of beauty in mist of my hectic day.

“Make a list of new worst things you can try. It can be anything like talking more walks or a new spell!”

Okay typos aside, I think I’m supposed to list some new witchy things to try. This is real challenge because I’ve been doing witchcraft for so long I’m not sure there IS anything I consider new…I’m going to have to think on it and reblog my list.

after some serious thought it finally occurred to me that I’d never made egg shell powder. So I made some just to try something new. I posted my process yesterday.

“Journal about the elements and what they mean to you.”

Um, I could fill a book with what the elements mean to me, lol! For the sake of y’all reading this, I’ll be brief. I envoke the innate power of the elements when I cast major spells. I draw on the power they embody that encompasses mother earth. When I draw on this power I am using the energy of planet earth and I can use them individually or together, depending on what I’m intending. Elemental magic is a very strong magic and when I cast spells I usually include some form of elemental magic, whether it’s the fire that burns my written desire or breath of air I use to activate a sigil. Though these two examples are but small instances of what I’d consider minor elemental uses, they are still powerful. They are just as powerful as the torrential rain I have stood in to purify my body and soul of heartbreak and the tornadic winds I’ve asked to rip away my anxiety.
