the feeling when I looked through the hfth and realized that olivier is described as a) short and b) (east) asian.
I had wanted to draw them for a while, but it hit me, as I was doing the sketch, that I could give them my eyes and not have to look up references for what eyes are “supposed” to look like, and that I didn’t have to draw the little eyelid crease because I don’t have that. it was such a singularly strange and wonderful feeling.
so thank you, @hellofromthehallowoods, for making a character whos hair is fun to draw (shiny :D) and also made me, an east asian person, nearly start crying because of eyelid creases (or lack thereof)
