i got an offer for a job i really want, in a place i think i’ll really like to live, but that also means i’ll need to uproot the life i’ve built here over the last 15 years. i think this drawing from last january accurately captures my current mental state
if anyone’s curious 3 months into my new life i still feel like this every day! the work is really cool! i like the weather here! i’m insanely homesick! i’m 500 miles away from everyone i care about! the move blew a massive hole in my savings and half my paycheck is going towards rent on the worst apartment i’ve ever lived in!
