the most comforting thing i’ve realized regarding my worries about finishing a story and producing a complete overarching narrative that doesn’t fail at the basics is the fact that time and time again i’ve read books lacking the most rudimentary of elements, be it the sentence structure or the plot itself, and by the end i still find myself entrapped in that world for a while. i will still think about the interactions and the little moments and the turning points. worlds, even badly made ones, will forever capture people if they stick with them long enough
