Guess who went to see how many scenes I have left to write in the rough draft of my fic and discovered it was zero?
Clocking in at 475k words (and well over half a million actually written when counting outlines and notes), the rough draft of In Short Supply is FINISHED!
On today’s edition of Quotes From ISS That Amuse Me. Context: Zim is in a boardroom sitting across from four humans in business suits and has identified one as a chief financial officer:
Zim pointed at the other three humans at the table. “Who are they?”
“These are my girlfriends,” the CFO said. The ladies nodded. “Chief Financial Officers get mad bitches.”
Zim gave the three alleged insane dogs a nervous glance.
The sequel:
“You have potential, kid. Perhaps, someday, you’ll get mad bitches, too.”
“No, thank you,” Zim said stiffly. “I already have one. His name is Gir.”
The CFO slowly slid down his sunglasses, gave Zim a long, hard look, then nodded in approval.
It’s worth noting that the CFO assumes he’s talking to, like, a 14-year-old.

Finished the outline for the commission today. There’s some pretty major plot holes I need to touch up, but then I can start the rough draft.
Because the people who paid for this commission had to wait for SO LONG for me to make progress with it, I’m going to post it all at once even though it’s going to be multiple chapters. They don’t have to wait any longer that way. That does mean it’s going to take a month or longer before I even consider posting it.
I’m excited though! I’m going to try to write things I waa terrified to write before and I think the work will be better for it. I hope.
