‘ Octopus ‘ is the most picked animal from the wheel of becoming /
ก ลายจักร exhibition “ reincarnation card “ vote! Here it is in
my PLAYTHINGS leather sculpture form. She is cool and is my
wife’s new fav. Thank you all for becoming a part of the work!
Folded and stacked out of one single piece of leather. Sterling
silver anchors it’s internal leather tension structure. Shine a
light into the head to see it’s “9” tarnishing brain…

Reincarnation Cards from the “Wheel of Becoming / ก ลายจักร”
exhibition are tallied! The most voted for animal will be made into
a PLAYTHINGS sculpture and posted here on the 1st of September!
If you’re in Honolulu, the sculpture will be on display at
@fishcakehawaii gallery from 1st Sep. until the last day of the show
(4th Sep.). I’ll be there for a bit, so pop in and say hi- (and
grab delicious foodie/drink from @apothecafe at the cafe area).

Hey guys! Just want to thank you all for coming to “ The Wheel of
Becoming ” opening! It was a pleasure getting to share the works

I put my entire being into that chartreuse sploosh in the middle… may be my best brush mark yet…
A couple of posts ago, I posted “Trajectories II” — this is “Trajectories I” in the collection of the Schulich School of Business. A purchase prize, from when I was doing my MFA at York (Toronto).

For those who noticed the painting in the shadows of my last post — here is Trajectories II, in the clarity of even light!
This is an older piece, made at a time of upheaval, and looking for a way forward.
There is a beautiful magnolia on our street. It makes me think of the rootedness of beauty, home, and loving relationships. I made it during a time of turmoil and change — part of which was living in Toronto to do my MFA, and being away from family a few days a week.
It was a real time of questioning, but also dreaming of deepening connection. I think that time was critical to finding the next steps in my life.
May the Spirit blow through all our branching.

Here’s the second “square foot” of mountainous pleasure. I enjoy the mix of fluidity and graphic punch. It is interesting to start with the painterly material, then bring out the form latent within it.
