important note : it is not cute and pretty, i already know it, it is messy with a lots of weeds but that’s the whole point of this ecovillage, so it might not be to the taste of everybody, hopefully you’ll still like it! Also, it is still a work in progress as a few areas aren’t quite done (my house for example)!

Come visit the quiet island town of Love Song. With autumnal streets and a plethora of natural beauty there’s plenty to explore! Just don’t wander too far. This paradise holds dark secrets.
I went from building and painting theatrical sets and escape rooms for a living to sitting at home playing animal crossing for literally thousands of hours during quarantine and I want to share my strange little murder island for everyone to enjoy. I tried to make it a pretty immersive experience and take visitors through a number of very different and wildly distinct environments!
ok. I have been dream hopping basically nonstop since the update and I am resurfacing from the Sea of New Horizons with a highly selective curated list of absolutely amazing Islands that are 100% worth visiting in dreamland.
These islands stick out either because of a unique theme that I have never seen before executed incredibly well, or for doing something I HAVE seen on a million islands before so good it makes me FORGET that fact.
I try not to hold empty space against an island - some folks like to have room to grow with updates as they come out and I get that. This list is more to acknowledge the islands that were able to transport me someplace I was not expecting to go in ACNH and find myself absolutely delighted to have arrived when I am there.
With that I present, in no particular order:
DEVINELAND - DA-0918-5045-0972
An absolute masterclass in stacked object building, this disney-mash-up themed island features a ton of variety and heap of nostalgia. Very strong world building throughout the island punctuated by jaw droppingly creative monuments. Word of the day here is Variety!
IBUKI - DA-5692-0162-5220
Amazing traditional Japanese theme throughout the island. The consistency of theme and high level of detail make this island well worth the visit!
TOALU - DA-7307-4315-1221
The ultimate summer resort town. Beachy. Light. Fun. Detailed. Consistently on theme and full of beautiful and familiar moments.
SUNNYSIDE LABS - DA-5809-8831-9515
Ok ok ok I know what you are about to say: “Hey! No fair. Thats your island!” Its true, I am biased. But after visiting dozens if not hundreds of other islands, I can safely say Sunnyside Labs is a unique ACNH experience. A “sci-fi murder mystery” featuring a some very different locales and an Island-wide tale of scientists, spores, and specimen escapes. Very few islands take the time to use specific villagers for their house interiors to continue the theme throughout the whole island, and this one does. Be sure to read the bulletin board on arrival if you want to give sleuthing out the mystery a try.
AGUEYBANA - DA-4124-2753-3850
“Be Aware of the Traps” reads the tagline on this supremely crafted tribal adventure.
Inspired by the extinct Tano natives of the caribbean, Agueybana feels like an adventure calling to your inner Indiana Jones. Possibly my favorite island on this list. Everything about it is just *chefs kiss*
SERENITY - DA-1714-3461-7829
Perhaps a touch controversial on this list compared to the other listings, serenity has some of the best urban settings I have seen in the game yet. This island more than any other has moments that scream major metropolitan area, and they are a joy to play in. The controversy being some transitional spaces between those strong moments are a bit messy or sparse. Still. What it does right, it does really right, and though the scenic urbanscapes may be eye-catching dont sleep on the gems that are the shops in the southeast of the island. I am pretty sure you’ll come to same conclusion I did and forgive the messy blank areas.

Survival Horror Science Lab themed Island with mysteries to discover and a killer on the loose.

(The beaches and shorelines are WIPs still, but the core of the island is a fairly linear self guided tour with a ladder at the end which connects the loop)
FYI since posting this I have been continually updating my island including: adding music to each area of the map (still debating some song choices tbh), redoing the more awkward/less thematic parts of the admin building (no more crazy admin bathroom or admin cafeteria -> spore labs now), adding all tools to the dream, adding smaller details to flesh out the mushroom forest better, adding a renewable energy farm to the western shore, and adding weeds to just about everywhere that felt too flat before.
So if you saw it a while ago and were wondering if anything has changed the answer is yes.
